A water main break has the City of Labelle under a precautionary boil water notice.

The main break happened on Broward Avenue Wednesday morning. Repairs shut off the water main in the City of LaBelle.

As a precaution, the city advises that all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.

This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the water has been restored, and the pressure is gradually building.

On Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., the water service will be shut to the city for repairs.

Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until this problem has been corrected.
