Lee County to open parking lot on County City Annex on Hendry Street as public paid parking

Lee County will open the parking lot at the County City Annex to be used as paid public parking beginning next year.

The parking rates will be:

  • Weekdays during the daytime
    • Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., is $1.35 for the first hour plus $1 for each additional half-hour.                                                                 
  • Weeknights: 
    • Monday through Thursday, 5:30p.m. to 7:30 a.m., is a $7.35 flat rate for six hours.       
  • Weekends:
    • Friday from 5:30 p.m. through Monday at 7:30 a.m. is a $ 10.35 flat rate for six hours.  
  • Special events: 
    • $12.35 flat rate for six hours.                                     

According to the county, the prices above include a 35-cent fee to use the Premium Parking app, which is available from the Google Play or Apple App Store.

Drivers will need their license plate number to complete payment. Payment can be completed by phone, at the kiosk, or on a computer

If you realize you will not have enough time to return to your vehicle, Premium Parking offers a convenient option to extend your time if you purchased using the mobile app.

If you purchased through the kiosk, you cannot extend your exact end time as the two systems are separate.

The parking will be at 1825 Hendry St., in downtown Fort Myers, beginning Friday, Jan. 3.
