Sip & Sizzle aspires to elevate dining in downtown Fort Myers

As a vertical conveyor continually elevated bottles of rum, vodka and whiskey, Sip & Sizzle restaurant’s general manager kept saying variations of the word “elevate.”

Sip & Sizzle first opened Jan. 6 at 2236 First St. at the corner of Hendry Street in downtown Fort Myers. Since then, it has been fine-tuning its dinners while also preparing to serve breakfast and lunch by mid-February at a restaurant seating up to a combined 122 patrons, combined inside and outside.

The concept, General Manager Brian Nagle said, is unlike any of the other restaurants downtown. Protein arrives seared on a stone tablet heated up to 500 degrees. Patrons then can slice the meat and cook the individual bites to their liking.
