1 killed in Cape Coral crash; Santa Barbara Blvd. closed for hours

A person was killed in a crash at the intersection of Santa Barbara Boulevard and Southeast 24th Street.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, northbound traffic was closed early Monday morning, but all roadways have since reopened.

Cape Coral police confirmed the crash involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

Police said that speed played a role in the crash. They are looking into whether alcohol was a factor.
