New details in early morning Fort Myers shooting

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- New details in a shooting early Friday morning.

We now know more about a car riddled with bullets at Gulf Coast Medical Center after a shooting in south Fort Myers.

Police say 25-year-old Bennie Vines Jr. was shot. According to authorities, Vines and two friends were driving in the area of Treeline Boulevard and Alico Road when someone began shooting at their vehicle.

Officials say Vines was driving the car. After the shooting, a friend took over the wheel and drove to the medical center.

The Chevy Avalanche had several bullet holes on the side and had a window blown out.
