Boat takes on water off Sanibel Island coast

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A boat is taking on water in San Carlos Bay between the Sanibel lighthouse and the causeway.

According to the Coast Guard, there were eight people on board and all were wearing life jackets. The boat they were in was a rental.

The boaters rescued are being transported to the Coast Guard station.
