Boston Red Sox kick off Spring Training Season

FORT MYERS, Fla. – JetBlue Park in Fort Myers is once again Fenway South, looking and sounding a lot more like Boston.

Red Sox players and fans have arrived to start work and celebrate the start of the spring season, kicking off baseball in Southwest Florida. Fans, as always are in for a treat when watching games and cheering on their Red Sox at JetBlue Park.

Boston Red Sox Executive Chef, Ron Abell and his team have once again developed a game day menu with flavors direct from New England. Highlights include a lobster roll sandwich with crispy lettuce and cilantro, a gourmet foot long hot dog with chili, cheese, sauerkraut and banana peppers, Abell has also introduced a line of deli sandwiches and wraps in addition to all the other ballpark favorites.

Fans will also notice a new mascot family member joining Wally this year. His younger, smarter and wittier sister, Tessie joins him. As they greet and welcome fans to Fenway South celebrating the start of spring baseball.

The first pitch is thrown out Monday at 1:05 p.m. with a double header against Boston College and Northeastern University, their first Grapefruit League game will happen Wednesday March 2nd against their crosstown rival the Minnesota Twins.
