IMMOKALEE, Fla. — A lovers’ quarrel turned violent Sunday when a man shot his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend in the stomach and the arm, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said. The shooting took place at Los Gators Bar, 200 S. Third St. Dagoberto Barrios, 47, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to an incident report. Christine Cady, 35, identified the suspect as her ex-boyfriend, Ortillio Castaneta-Zapata, the report said. The sheriff’s office was first notified of the shooting at 7:19 p.m. Castaneta-Zapata fled the scene after firing six shots but was taken into custody overnight, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies have yet to find the gun involved in the shooting. No further information is immediately available.
