We’ve all seen cars on the road speeding past each other.

Maybe they’re racing. Maybe they’re just aggressive drivers.

Cars speeding, then losing control and crashing. You may not see it every day but troopers for the Florida Highway Patrol do.

Drivers losing their cool, then losing control.

A new study suggests the model and color of a vehicle can be factors in identifying drivers with road rage.

Kevin Pottle is a Gen Xer and drives a Kia. According to a study by Farah and Farah Personal Injury Attorneys, he’s one of the most aggressive drivers on the road.

Pottle admits, “Yeah we’re pretty aggressive.”

There may be some hope for for him. The study says drivers with green cars are the worst. Kevin’s car is gray, but that comes in a close second.

He also says he’s mellowed out as he’s gotten older, “I take a deep breath now. I’ve learned to control. But in my younger days, I used to do the finger or something or get mad.”

Giselle Bellini on the other hand, disagrees with the study. She says millennials, like herself, are the most aggressive. And she handles her road rage a little differently, “I roll up my window and say not-so-nice things.”

What is it we do on the roads that fires these two up?

“Definitely when people are on their phone,” Bellini said. “They don’t move because they’re causing traffic and accidents.”

Kevin had his take too, “No directionals. That’s really annoying and people just pull out for no reason or just stop on a busy road.”

So remember, allow yourself plenty of time on the road to avoid becoming the next statistic.
