Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal head-on crash in North Fort Myers Thursday night, where one person died and two others were seriously injured.
FHP confirmed 53-year-old Robert Fiedler died from injuries he suffered in the crash
FHP says Jeremy Goodson, 32, and Brittany Goodson, 29, were driving east on Del Prado Boulevard in North Fort Myers when Jeremy attempted to go around slower traffic by going into the westbound lane.
During the attempt to go around traffic, their truck struck the oncoming vehicle Fiedler was in, who died from his injuries.
Jeremy and Brittany Goodson both suffered serious injuries and were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital.
The fatal crash is still under investigation.
