A Belle Glade teen is facing a murder charge after authorities say he shot two women last month in Clewiston, killing one of them.

Timothy J. Anderson, 17, was arrested Monday on one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Clewiston Police Department say that Anderson went to the West Express Inn in Clewiston, where he shot two women. One victim survived a gunshot wound to her head while the other victim died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Anderson was taken into custody by Palm Beach County deputies at a home in Belle Glade.

FDLE says the investigation remains active.
