A single-vehicle crash on I-75 South caused major traffic back-up and sent multiple people to the hospital on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a van driven by a 41-year-old Immokalee man with seven passengers and hauling a trailer was traveling south on I-75 when a tire blew out.

The crash occurred at around 4:30 p.m. near Luckett Road.

The driver lost control of the van and it overturned, spilling its cargo, a four-wheeler and wooden pallets, onto the roadway.

Two men, ages  34 and 27, were transported to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the van and five passengers, including a 17-year-old suffered minor injuries.
