Summer-like afternoon expected across SW Florida

Published: Updated:

Happy Tuesday! Get ready for another scorcher as highs soar into the upper 80s and lower 90s this afternoon.

Near-record heat is possible for both Fort Myers and Naples, expected to stay just below the official numbers.

This significant daytime heating will allow for another round of spotty showers beginning around 4 p.m.

Rain will begin south in Collier County and generally move northward.

Our next change comes Thursday as a cold front approaches Southwest Florida. Ahead of it, expect a few rounds of rain.

Behind it, cooler and less humid air moves in with breezy wind through the weekend. Lows will dip into the 50s with daytime highs in the 70s!
