Lee County Schools to hold recruitment event this week

The School District of Lee County is holding a recruitment event this week. The district is looking for food service workers and bus drivers.

At the recruitment event, potential candidates can learn more about positions in the Food & Nutrition Services and Transportation departments within the districts.

Positions are available for food service workers, traveler food service workers and intern food service workers. The district is currently waiving the high school diploma or GED requirement. Part-time opportunities are available.

Bus driver requirements include at least five years of driving experience, a satisfactory driving record and a social security card. SDLC also provides training for those who do not already have a commercial driver’s license (CDL). The starting pay for bus drivers in Lee County is $16.32 per hour, and the District offers flexible hours, a training stipend and a benefits package for full-time employees.

The Food Service and Bus Driver Recruitment Event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10 at the Lee County Public Education Center, located at 2855 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers. If you would like to register for this event, click here. You must do so by Monday, November 8.
