Cape Coral police are looking for witnesses to a crash involving a motorcycle on Wednesday.

The crash happened at around 8:42 p.m. at the intersection of Diplomat Parkway East and NE 5th Place.

A motorcyclist, 33-year-old Frank E. Sangster, suffered life-threatening injuries, according to a news release from the Cape Coral Police Department.

Police said a North Fort Myers woman driving a 2017 Nissan Altima pulled out in front of Sangster.

Sangster laid down his motorcycle to avoid a collision, but ended up hitting the car anyway and getting ejected, police said.

The woman told police she didn’t see the motorcyclist.

A third vehicle became involved after not seeing the motorcycle on the roadway and striking it.

Sangster was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to another hospital due to the severity of his injuries.

Police said he was undergoing surgery.
