
A 31-year-old pedestrian was killed as he walked on I-75 in Charlotte County Saturday night.
The Lehigh Acres man, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, was walking in the southbound inside lane of I-75 near Tuckers Grade.
A pickup, driven by a 23-year-old Naples man, struck the pedestrian. The driver and a 24-year-old Tampa woman, a passenger in the vehicle, suffered minor injuries.
The crash closed the roadway for about five hours.
