Deputies need help finding an 8-month-old puppy named Prince.

His owner believes the emotional support animal was stolen.

It happened on Aug. 8 near Gulf Coast High School in Collier County.

Tonya Monclerc, Prince’s owner, said there is no way the dog could have gotten out by himself.

She said she was spending the night at her friend’s home with her dog and fears another visitor took him.

Monclerc said she believes someone took her 8-month-old bulldog from the Amberton Townhomes Community more than a week ago.

“That’s my emotional support dog. So like, Oh, I’m just sorry,” Monclerc said.

Monclerc said another guest started asking questions about her dog, like is he chipped? How old is he?

“I woke up the next morning with my dog just missing,” she said.

Whether Prince got stolen or just ran away, it doesn’t matter to Monclerc.

She just wants him back.

So she’s putting up posters and searching early nonstop.

“I’m not gonna stop looking,” Montclerc said. “I keep honestly, day and night, I drive down to Naples after work and I searched.”

Because along with Prince being her emotional support dog Monclerc said he is family.

“He keeps me happy because he’s just a happy dog. Like he knows when I’m sad. So like, he’ll come and he’ll like, put his head under me and like wiggle his tail,” she said.

Monclerc said this was her first puppy so she did not know to get Prince chipped, but next time.

“I have to get him chipped because I just couldn’t imagine like getting them back and losing him again,” Monclerc said.

Anyone with information about Prince’s whereabouts, please contact the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
