Thursday brings below-average temperatures

Thursday is the day we’ll finally see temperatures dip below average behind a cold front that moved through Southwest Florida on Wednesday night.

Dry, cool air continues to move in behind that front, keeping our humidity nice and low. It will also keep us from warming up too much, with highs expected to top off in the mid-70s, five or six degrees below our average for this time of year.

As the sun sets Thursday night, temperatures will cool more quickly thanks to the drier air. In fact, Friday morning will feature lows in the 50s for many across the WINK viewing area.

Highs will remain in the 70s through Friday, with dry conditions set to prevail. We’ll see a bump back into the low 80s Saturday before rain chances make a comeback Sunday.

Expect humidity to creep back into the forecast heading into next week and approaching Thanksgiving, along with a warming trend pushing highs back into the mid-80s for Turkey Day.
