It’s time to get in touch with your wild side as you also get wild for a good cause. Down in Naples, the zoo is preparing for its largest fundraiser of the year, the ‘Zoobilee.’

The fundraiser is crucial for the zoo as they work to raise money. That money goes to anything and everything the animals may need, including food and fun.

The money raised by Zoobilee will also keep the zoo up and running.

It is the wildest party of the year.

“It’s such a magical experience,” said Courtney Jolly, with the Naples Zoo.

The night is filled with live music, wine, and lots of local food.

“We’re so excited. We’re gonna have our espresso cart,” said Astoria Aviles, Narrative Coffee’s operations manager.

The event is made even better with some pretty unique party guests. “I would love to request some time with the giraffe,” said Aviles.

The Naples Zoo annual Zoobilee promises some big fun for a great cause.

“It goes back to feeding all of our animals, it goes back into the zoo, everything that everyone does, we keep it here at the zoo,” said Jolly.

2023’s event will be Aviles’ second year taking part. “We love the community that it creates, and we love, you know, all of the other businesses that participate. It really is the best of our area coming together to support a really great mission.”

WINK News and Gulfshore Life are sponsors of the event. The money raised will go towards giving these little guys everything they need. If you donate, you could win some interesting prizes, from stuffed animals and purses to a safari trip to the Galapagos.

It’s sure to be a night to remember.

Friday night’s Zoobilie is sold out, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still help the animals. If you head to the Naples Zoo website to enter the raffle or silent auction.
