The WINK News Weather Authority keeps Southwest Florida up to date with its hourly weather forecast, seven days a week.

Thunderstorms are most expected in Central Charlotte and Northwestern Lee counties into the late hours of Tuesday morning.

Thunderstorms were recorded near Pineland, 14 miles west of Cape Coral, earlier in the morning.

Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, Matlacha, Matlacha Isles-Matlacha Shores, Palmona Park and North Fort Myers are among the listed areas that may be affected by the weather advisory.

WINK News Meteorologist Zach Maloch is tracking dense fog blanketing the Southwest Florida area with widespread rain likely for afternoon into evening commute.

Here’s what to expect for the next three days:

Tuesday: All of Southwest Florida is under a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m. Dense fog can cause visibility to be below 0.25 of a mile and create hazardous driving conditions.

Isolated rain will be with us this morning and early afternoon with widespread rain and storms likely for the evening commute. Parts of Southwest Florida are under a level 1 risk for severe weather.

The strongest storms will move through our area from 4 through 9 p.m. Temperature highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Wednesday: Dry and cooler morning with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. We’ll see more sun than clouds for Wednesday with highs remaining in the mid to upper 60s. Wednesday will be the drier day in between the two systems. There will a chance for isolated rain on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday: Isolated to scattered rain and a few storms will be possible. We’ll see more sun than clouds for the day as well. Highs in the mid-70s.
