According to the FDA, Totally Cool, Inc. of Owings Mills, Maryland, has recalled 14 brands and a variety of its ice cream products because they could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
Products were sold in Southwest Florida, distributed nationwide, and available in retail locations and by direct delivery.
