Credit: WINK News Alligator Alley has completely reopened near Mile Marker 90 in Collier County after crews cleared the road of spilled roof shingles. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a semi-truck that crashed on Interstate 75 southbound and caused major traffic back-ups. The Florida Department of Transportation reported the crash at around 3:43 a.m. on Tuesday. It took nearly nine hours for the road to fully reopen. WINK News was rolling on the FDOT camera as it cleared. The semi-truck was transporting rooftop shingles that spilled from the truck onto the highway. Credit: WINK News The roadway was reduced to one lane while crews worked to clear the scene. No injuries were reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
