The Charlotte County Community Services has provided an update regarding the boat ramp closures brought about by hurricanes Milton and Helene.

All but three ramps have reopened as crews continue to work on the extensive damage and unseen hazards caused by the storms.

The following boat ramps have been reopened:

  • Ainger Creek Park
  • Butterford Waterway Park
  • Darst Park
  • El Jobean Boat Ramp
  • Harbour Heights Park
  • Placida Park
  • Spring Lake Park

The following are still closed:

  • Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Park
  • Port Charlotte Beach Park
  • South Gulf Cove Park

Community services remind boaters of an upcoming scheduled repair project for the Spring Lake Park boat ramp.

The 60-day-long maintenance is set to begin on Nov. 11.
