As Thanksgiving approaches, a new study by Locals Insider ranked Southwest Florida International Airport as the fourth-worst airport for delays and cancellations during the holiday season. According to Locals Insider, one in five flights were delayed or canceled last holiday season at RSW. During the Thanksgiving travel period, 241 flights were reported delayed or canceled, and during the winter holiday travel period, 674 flights were reported delayed or canceled. However, while these numbers may worry travelers, RSW has shown some improvement year-over-year. In 2022, 1,285 flights were delayed or canceled compared to 915 flights last holiday season.
