The Estero Village Council is looking to speed up the development of the Estero Sports Park. Estero Mayor Jon McLain is happy with the plan but not the timeline of the project and wants to put the park on a fast track. The council already unanimously approved the master design plan for the 100-acre sports park. The park will be constructed in phases, and the planners aim to finish it in five years.
