NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla.- Caught on camera. Only WINK News video showing two people inside of an airplane hangar that isn’t theirs. Lee County deputies are now trying to catch the suspects. The hangar is located in Pine Shadows Air Park. WINK News spoke to the owner of the hangar and found out this isn’t the first time he’s been hit by intruders. “Here we caught them red handed, it’s a pretty big deal,” said Tony Greene. The video shows the two uninvited guests caught in the act, snooping around the airplane hangar deputies say they broke into. “It’s a big shock to us, we feel threatened from lack of privacy,” said neighbor Christopher Mitchell. The hangar’s been broken into four other times before, so the owner Tony Greene put in a surveillance camera. “I’m really hoping we can capture these guys,” said Greene. Greene says his wife alerted him something wasn’t right. “She heard noise over the baby monitor and poked me in the ribs, and I’m thinking “‘yeah right, I’ve heard this before’ but we could hear voices and knew someone was there.” Take a look at the video closely, you can see it looks as if the intruder wearing the baseball hat is even holding a beer bottle. “I was surprised to see the guy look at the camera, he obviously didn’t know it was there,” said Mitchell. Greene tells WINK News the men got away and it doesn’t appear anything was taken, but he’s not entirely sure his airplane wasn’t touched. “The scary part is, there is an airplane in the hangar and I don’t know if they tampered with anything to the airplane.” Christopher Mitchell, Greene’s neighbor had his airplane hangar broken into about three weeks ago, his son’s car was the target. In the past, a truck, a motorcycle and collectible fire arms were taken from Greene’s home. If you have any idea who these two men from the video are, you are asked to call the Lee County Sheriff’s Office or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
