Everblades give teddy bear’s at Golisano Children’s Hospital

FORT MYERS, Fla.- During Saturday’s game the Everblades collected nearly 7,000 teddy bears and stuffed animals during their annual Teddy Bear toss game.

The Everblades players wore special teddy bear jersey’s that were auctioned off after the game.

The team said they raised around $15,000 that will be donated to the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.

On Monday, 15 Everblades players along with four members of the dance team distributed some of the stuffed animals to patients at the Hospital in Fort Myers.

“The amount that the community does for us as far as the fans and everything like that. It’s definitely important to give back and the Children’s Hospital is a great cause” said Everblades team captain, Jordan Henry.

The first place Everblades host Gwinnett on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
