City of Palms: Cardinal Gibbons Downs Mariner

FORT MYERS, Fla.- The City of Palms tournament “Sunshine Series” kicked off today.

Mariner, the No.3 team in 5A, took on Florida’s No. 1 team in 5A, Cardinal Gibbons out of Fort Lauderdale.

Columbia commit Rodney Hunter lead Mariner with a team-high 31 points, including two threes.

Maverick Rowan was dominant inside and outside the paint for Cardinal Gibbons. Rowan has offers from Florida, Florida State, Louisville and NC State.

Rowan lead all scorers with 35 points.
