CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Police are trying to identify a family who allegedly stole a customer’s wallet from a Walmart jewelry counter on December 27, 2014.
The victim stated that she was looking at a watch to purchase at the jewelry section. The victim then left the jewelry section and walked away, accidentally leaving behind her wallet. The victim stated that when she noticed that she forgot her wallet and walked back to the jewelry counter, the wallet was gone.
Authorities say surveillance footage shows the family at the jewelry counter near the wallet. The son covers up the wallet with his body to distract and block the view of the sales clerk while the mother, described as being in her lower to mid 40s, blonde hair, medium build, grabs the wallet and immediately puts it in her shopping cart and places her purse on top of it to conceal it.
The family then walked to the front of the store, pays for their items in their cart, and leaves in a black SUV.
