SALT LAKE CITY (CNN) – A Utah zoo hosted a baby shower to introduce its orphaned baby orangutan to the public.
The party was on Saturday April 11th at the Hogle Zoo to honor Tuah. His name means “Luck” in Malay.
He’s been raised by staffers at the zoo since his mother died weeks after giving birth. Primate experts are providing round-the-clock care for the five-month old. They’re training his sister Acara to be his foster mom. She’s 10-months old.
Keepers say the two have bonded so well, they happily cling to each other as they move around their habitat.
