GLADES COUNTY, Fla. – US-27 is reopened after a wildfire near US-27 and the Herbert Hoover Dike shutdown a section of the roadway for several hours.

Florida Highway Patrol said US-27 was closed between SR 29 and SR 78.

Drivers headed south on US-27 should take SR 29 south to eastbound 78 or SR 80. Drivers headed north on US-27 can take SR 78 west to northbound SR 29.

By 7 p.m., troopers said the road had reopened.
