DELTONA, Fla. (AP) – Officials have released the names of a 6-month-old old baby and his caregiver days after the boy was found dead in a vehicle parked outside a Florida middle school.

Volusia County Sheriff’s spokesman Gary Davidson said Monday that 38-year-old Deltona Middle School teacher Chanda Larson of Orange City apparently left Trenton Cason-Collins inside her sport utility vehicle Friday. She found his body about 4 p.m.

A deputy arrived within three minutes of her 911 call, but the boy was already dead. Temperatures reached the upper 80s in central Florida on Friday.

Davidson told the Orlando Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1OLeQUX ) that the baby belonged to one of Larson’s relatives and had been in her care for about six weeks.

He says no charging decision has been made and the investigation is continuing.
