Woman on scooter hit, killed in Collier County

NAPLES, Fla. – An 87-year-old Naples woman was hit and killed while riding a motorized wheelchair Saturday.

Florida Highway Patrol said Josephine Lusetti was going southbound on U.S. 41 near Wiggins Pass when a Nissan Altima hit her. The crash happened around 11:30 a.m.

The driver of the Altima was not facing charges at the time this story was published. Lusetti was taken to North Collier Hospital but later died.
