FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers police are searching for a man who attempted to lure two young siblings into his car Thursday morning.

Police say the 8-year-old and 6-year-old were waiting at their bus stop on Willard Street and Broadway Avenue around 7:15 a.m. when they were approached by the man and offered money.

The children’s mother told detectives she believes the same man approached her and her children on Halloween while they were out walking near Franklin Street and Broadway Avenue. She says the man stuck out two $5 bills out of the window and stated, “come here little boys and get this money.” The woman confronted the suspect who then left the area.

The suspect is believed to be in his 50s, with dirty blonde hair and driving a late 1990s model Ford Taurus four-door sedan with faded black paint. He was wearing a white baseball cap with red trim on the edge.
