FORT MYERS, Fla. – A 34-year-old man received life in prison on Tuesday for the 2015 killing of a good Samaritan — exactly one year after the fatal shooting.
Oscar Crespo-Rodriguez of Fort Myers was convicted for killing Eddie Martinez, 40. One witness said Martinez was trying to break up a fight at the 7-Eleven on the 5300 block of Cleveland Avenue when he was killed.
Crespo-Rodriguez was arrested at a home in San Carlos Park shortly after the shooting.
