Another pretrial meeting set for man accused in deadly Fort Myers hit-and-run

FORT MYERS, Fla. A man accused in a deadly hit-and-run crash is waiting to find out when he’ll go on trial.

Adam Costello, who was arrested last September, allegedly hit and killed 18-year-old Adam King with his truck on Colonial Boulevard near the Midpoint Bridge in Fort Myers last June.

King was riding his motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Costello’s attorneys said they needed more time to interview witnesses at a pretrial hearing on Wednesday.

The judge set another pretrial meeting for June 19, the one-year anniversary of King’s death.

“When they said the 19th, I just wanted to look at him and say, ‘Do you know what that day is? Do you realize what day that is?'” said Tracy Miller, King’s mother. “‘It’s the day I know you killed my son.'”
