Suspect sought following Punta Gorda store robbery

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. A suspect is at large following an armed robbery that took place Wednesday morning at a Circle K, Florida Crime Stoppers said.

The robbery happened just after 12 a.m. at the convenience store on 3035 Tamiami trail, according to a press release.

The suspect went into the store and demanded money from the store clerk, according to a press release. He then told the clerk to hide in the restroom for five minutes.

The suspect was described as 6’0” tall and between 170 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt with a large white towel or shirt collar around his neck, according to a press release.

Anyone with information can leave an anonymous tip through the P3Tips mobile app, online or by calling 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All tipsters are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
