Police are investigating a shooting near one of President Donald Trump’s resorts in Florida.
The Miami Herald reports the shooting happened Sunday afternoon near the Trump International Beach Resort Miami in Sunny Isles Beach. The president was not there and there didn’t appear to be a political connection.
According to Miami Herald’s article, “Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s call list put the Trump Miami’s condominium-hotel’s address, 18001 Collins Ave., as the location of the incident, and video shows paramedics transporting at least one trauma-alert patient.”
“That patient is rapper NBA Youngboy’s girlfriend, according to witness Anna Rodriguez, who said she saw the first Sunny Isles Beach shooting and heard the second,” Miami Herald reported.
There were also reports of a second and possibly related shooting on a nearby causeway.
Witnesses told the Herald a fight broke out across the street from the Trump property.
No details of what happened were immediately available. The Herald reported the situation apparently has some connection to the Rolling Loud hip-hop festival this weekend at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
