Credit: Google Maps via WINK News. Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist in Port Charlotte Friday night. According to FHP, state troopers were on the scene of the crash along U.S. 41 near the intersection with Cochran Boulevard. Deputies say around 6:45 p.m., a man driving a 2011 Ford F-150 was driving southbound on US-41, south of Cochran Boulevard in the left lane. Muller was riding a bicycle exiting from the business on 1811 Tamiami Trail. He crossed southbound lanes from US-41 in front of oncoming traffic. Then, the F-150 struck Muller on his bike then came to final rest facing south on the right shoulder. Muller came to final rest on the northbound, left turn lane. The driver of the F-150 was uninjured.
