A Southwest Florida Zumba instructor is showing us why we’re #GulfshoreStrong by continuing to help people move to the beat and stay healthy – virtually. Valentina Perez brought her Zumba classes to Zoom so that her clients could still get a workout and have some fun, even with her gyms closed. Perez has been teaching Zumba for 10 years, but she lost her jobs teaching at two local gyms because of the coronavirus pandemic. She said that isn’t stopping her from holding the classes she and dozens of her students look forward to. “I don’t want my students to stop. I want them to keep going and have a little bit of happiness in their day because I know it’s tough on everybody.” Perez’s Zumba classes on Zoom are free and open to the public. She’s accepting donations to help her stay on her feet. You can find the links to join her classes on her Facebook page.
