A drive-thru mask distribution is scheduled for July 13 in Naples.

The Chabad Jewish Center of Naples said they have 10,000 masks to give away as part of their COVID-19 crisis assistance program.

The distribution will take place at the center, 1789 Mandarin Rd., from 4 to 6 p.m., while supplies last. The masks are reusable 100% cotton, three-ply washable face masks, approved and recommended by the Department of Health & Human Services USA, according to Chabad Naples.

“As COVID-19 numbers spike again, we all have to do our part to help stop the spread. We have 10,000 masks to distribute to enable everyone to get masks and wear them to help prevent the spread of this virus. Saving one life is saving the entire world,” said Rabbi Fishel Zaklos, director of the center.

“We must do everything in our power to support a safe and healthy society. Having access to free masks will encourage people to wear them as much as possible. As a community, we must protect each other and overcome this challenging virus,” said Ettie Zaklos, co-director of the center.

In addition to the mask distribution, Chabad Naples offered other assistance programs and events, including food packages, shopping for the elderly and homebound, and Zoom classes. More information can be found at www.jewishnaples.com/relief.

If anyone needs masks and cannot make it to the Monday distribution, you may arrange an alternative pickup time.
