North Fort Myers stabbing suspect faces battery charges

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office took a man into custody after a stabbing in North Fort Myers on Saturday.

The suspect was seen being treated at Coon and Donald roads, just south of Bayshore Road.

Deputies were in the area for about two hours to investigate a stabbing before taking the suspect into custody.

The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Ryan Armstong of Cape Coral.

The condition of the victim has not been released.

Armstrong had his first appearance in court Monday. He faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery on a police officer, firefighter, EMT, etc., fleeing/eluding the police with injury or damage and grand theft of a motor vehicle. His bail is set at $75,000.
