One robbery suspect has hit three different businesses in the span of nine days. Two robberies took place at 7-Elevens, and the other was at a Dollar General.

Investigators say the suspect typically strikes in the overnight hours. They also say the robberies so far have been close to one another. The most recent, the Dollar General robbery, happened two nights ago.

Detectives say the suspect wore a mask during each of the three robberies. But, they say, that doesn’t mean someone won’t recognize his build or body type.

Crime Stoppers hope that everyone pays close attention to this story because they need your help finding this suspect.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says an armed robber hit three businesses in nine days.

First, the suspect walked into a 7-Eleven in Lehigh Acres, flashed a gun at the cashier and demanded money. No one has confirmed if he got away with any money or if he did what the total amount was.

Then, a week later, the suspect hit another 7-Eleven, same story, and got away with $50. And, two days after that robbery, the man entered a Dollar General in Lehigh wearing the same hoodie. This time, he threatened the clerk with his gun and made off with $800.

Trish Routte is with Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers. “Anytime that you’ve got a suspect that’s walking into a store demanding cash and they’ve got a gun, you don’t know what their intent is, with that gun. Are they going to use the gun?” Routte said.

Olivia Collins’ boyfriend lives in Lehigh Acres. She says she’s heard about the robberies. “It’s madness! I don’t know what it’s coming to nowadays,” said Collins.

Collins says the sheriff’s office needs to get this guy off the street. “It puts a whole bunch of people at risk. It puts kids at risk definitely scary to be around it,” said Collins. “I do have a taser and pepper spray in my car ready to go.”

“The thing that concerns us is that every time he’s gotten away with one, that kind of gives him a little bit more bravado and a little bit more confidence to continue doing what he’s doing,” said Routte. “And you know, there’s a very strong chance that he’s going to continue doing this until we finally catch him, that is going to happen, but we really need the public’s help.”

Crime Stoppers says the suspect hasn’t made much during the robberies but that he’ll pay up when caught. If you recognize this man or know anything about these robberies, you are being asked to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). You can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
