File: Lee County Sheriff’s Office Patrol cruiser. Credit: WINK News A 59-year-old pedestrian was struck while crossing the road in Cypress Lake by a teenage driver. A Lee County EMS crew responded after the pedestrian was struck on Cypress Lake Drive and Overlook Drive on Thursday, at around 7:30 p.m.. The victim was declared a trauma alert and transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center. The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
