The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man who allegedly led deputies on a seven-mile chase, reaching speeds of over 100 mph.

On Thursday, a Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a report of Scott Wooster, a 44-year-old man with felonies and a bench warrant, at a Circle K on Radio Road.

According to CCSO, upon approaching Wooster’s vehicle, he attempted to flee, leading to a high-speed pursuit that reached speeds of around 100 mph before stopping at a Dunkin’ Donuts on Davis Boulevard, where he was removed from his vehicle and arrested.

Deputies said Wooster had marijuana, among other drug paraphernalia, in his vehicle.

Wooster was then transported to the Naples Jail Center, where his warrants for failure to appear for a felony and failure to appear for a misdemeanor, both in Lee County, would be confirmed.

The report states that the vehicle pursuit lasted approximately six and a half minutes and covered a distance of approximately 7.61 miles.
