FHP troopers responded to a “Be On The Look Out” and located a 2024 Kia Sedan that earlier fled from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office on Interstate 75.

Once spotted, the suspect vehicle refused to stop for troopers.

While actively fleeing from FHP, the Kia, which contained three people, was traveling south on Logan Boulevard at a high speed.

The driver went past a red light at the intersection of Vanderbilt Beach Road and collided with four other vehicles.

The driver, a 22-year-old male from Miami, and his two passengers, both 30-year-old men from Miami, all sustained critical injuries and were transported to an area hospital.

One of the 30-year-old passengers was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The drivers of the four other vehicles, all women from Naples ranging in age from 18 to 73, all sustained minor injuries.

The southbound left lane remains open as the investigation into the crash continues.
