A body was found in a canal near Business Circle and Collier Boulevard on Monday afternoon. According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, the cause of death is unknown, and an active death investigation is underway. Great Naples Fire, EMS, FWC and Collier Sheriff deputies all responded and removed the body before 2 p.m. The victim’s identity has not been released. This is an active scene, and WINK News will update this article with more information when it becomes available.
