MGN STOCKHOLM (AP) – Sweden’s royal family has announced the name of its latest addition, newborn Prince Nicolas Paul Gustaf. King Carl XVI Gustaf informed the government Wednesday that his first grandson – he also has two granddaughters – will also get the title Duke of Angermanland, a province in northern Sweden. Prince Nicolas is the son of Princess Madeleine, the younger sister of Crown Princess Victoria, and her husband Christopher O’Neill. He was born Monday. The royals have no political power in Sweden but remain so popular among the people that even political parties ideologically opposed to the monarchy aren’t pressing for it to be abolished. On Saturday, Victoria and Madeleine’s brother, Prince Carl Philip, married ex-model Sofia Hellqvist at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
