Man robs Fort Myers liquor store

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery case.

Just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Fort Myers Police Department responded to the Redbones Liquor Store located on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Authorities say the suspect first entered the store and selected a beverage.

After walking to the register and placing his drink on the counter, the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded money from the clerk.

Another customer entered the store during that time. Police say the suspect also pointed the gun at the customer and took his wallet.

The suspect then left the store on a bicycle.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s with a thin build. He is approximately 6 feet tall and was wearing a yellow shirt, red and white plaid shorts and a red knit cap .
