4 weeks later and no arrest made in Dr. Teresa Sievers’ murder

LEE COUNTY, Fla.-  Four weeks to the day, and still no arrests have been made in the murder of Doctor Teresa Sievers.

Sources tells WINK News, the Bonita Springs mother was beaten to death with a hammer. We’re also learning investigators and forensic experts are still combing her property.

According to neighbors on Jarvis Road, the scene at the Sievers home on Friday looked similar to the scenes they saw during the first week of the investigation. Friday’s scene involved crime scene technicians and investigators.

Neighbors say they witnessed technicians take saliva and hair samples from the couple’s dogs.
Deputies were joined by Sievers’ husband, Mark.

Meanwhile, Mark Sievers sent a message to patients telling them they found a new doctor to provide phone consultations three days a week. The doctor in question is Sangeeta Pati.

The message says Pati served as a mentor to Sievers. Another message, on Dr. Sievers’ website, goes on to say they’re still searching for “a like-minded, like-hearted physician,” to ultimately get the practice back up and running.

No arrests have been made in the murder. Sheriff Mike Scott told WINK News before, that Sievers was a target and the murder was not random.

Monday, we asked the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for an update on their investigation. They said there would be no updates or interviews.

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers tells us there have been three to four new tips in the Sievers case over the last week.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
